Martin Luther King stood for something. He stood for equality and justice. I am always inspired when I hear his speeches and see what happened with perseverance and time. Today is a day to honor this man and what he stood for. The question is- what do you stand for? What are you willing to do make change happen in your lifetime. Most people want to do just what is necessary to get by. Most people cant be bothered to stick their neck out. People want to be comfortable.
But today we are reminded what is possible when you stand for something. We all have a voice and we can all use it.
Today I am grateful for all of the people who fight for equality.
