leaving the comfort zone

"I believe that you're great, that there's something magnificent about you. Regardless of what has happened to you in your life, regardless of how young or how old you think you might be, the moment you begin to think properly, this something that is within you, this power within you that's greater than the world, it will begin to emerge. It will take over your life. It will feed you, it will clothe you, it will guide you, protect you, direct you, sustain your very existence. If you let it! Now that is what I know, for sure" – Reverend Michael Beckwith

I started a class last night with Reverend Michael. It was very spontaneous because I decided two hours before it started. It’s funny how things come up when you want to commit to something. In the face of commitment I suddenly come up with reasons not to commit. Do you do this? Is it hard for you to commit? Am I afraid of what I will discover? Am I afraid to leave my comfort zone? When I have that feeling then I know for sure I need to commit. I need to push through something.

“Life loses its meaning when we get stuck in our comfort zone.” anonymous

Comfort zones are a place where progress fades. If you are not pushing past your own bounds and stretching then you don’t get the opportunity to grow and expand your consciousness. If you don’t want to expand than you have to get real about your complaining about the state of your life. Sure you can complain, but what are you trying to convince yourself of? The more you start to question your motives, the more you uncover your false beliefs and behaviors that are running your life. Life is for you. It’s on your side. You are here to uncover not cover up or hide out, the more you get that, the more vibrant your life will become. You have so much to give, to share and to release- I hope this blog is an opportunity for you to see that. I hope you take a moment to breathe that in and know that you are supported.

Please write or share in the comments to let me know how I can support you. My email is ashley@bthechangelive.com if you want to send something directly to me.

I am grateful for the opportunity to take classes to learn about being more me and less what my fears are saying.

  1. I know you wrote this for me Ashley. Thank you thank you.
"What am I trying to convince myself of?" "What am I trying to convince others of?" And why? I know how I am. I'm good, caring, loving and I have a lot to offer.
Ops there it is! A light bulb just went on!
    I'm hopeful.
