acceptance is key

See if you can catch yourself complaining in either speech or thought, about a situation you find yourself in, what other people do or say, your surroundings, your life situation, even the weather. To complain is always nonacceptance of what is. It invariably carries an unconscious negative charge. When you complain, you make yourself a victim. Leave the situation or accept it. All else is madness.

Eckhart Tolle

It’s hard to write everyday when you don’t feel like it. This is when life gets tough for me when my mind wants to focus elsewhere. When the time has come to persevere and I am distracted. I notice my urge to distract myself. I start to complain to myself, I don’t feel like it, or I don’t have anything to say. This I believe is the most important part of anyone’s growth journey. The moment where what you said you want and what you’re willing to do come face to face. It’s easy to be in the excitement of an idea. It’s easy for me personally to start something, it’s challenging for me to continue. This is why I write and why I share. I want to be honest about my journey and hopefully it will give you courage to be honest about yours.

I am learning how to live my life in real time. I don’t want to be stuck in instant replays or what ifs. I don’t want to complain about what is. I really feel that the more I am in acceptance the more enjoyable my life is becoming.

I am committed to this process. I am committed to be here and write everyday and continually bring to surface whatever is rolling around my head. Some days will be better than other days so please bear with me.

Today, try to accept rather than complain.

Today, I am grateful for this moment, for my life which is peaceful and full of so much love.
