Worry is like a rocking chair-- it gives you something to do but doesn't get you anywhere.
Ever wonder why we worry so much? I think it comes from the fear of the unknown. We worry about what someone may do or how an event will turn out or even how our own life will turn out. Worry is like this thing that we carry around with us that prevents us from being present and fearless. Worry keeps our mind occupied on the worse possible outcomes. It keeps us paralyzed. So basically worry is a relative that we don't really want living with us yet we give it a master bedroom and provide it room and board for free.
So why not create a new story around worry? It doesn't serve any real purpose in your life yet it creates so much anxiety. So I say let's take worry and set it to sea on a nice little sailboat where it can drift away slowly and you can have time to say your good byes. You really don't need it. And wow what can put in the place of worry? What can you focus on if there is nothing to worry about? Whoa I think that's what freedom feels like. You have this blank canvas to create and only that which motivates and inspires you to operate from. Think about that.
Goodbye worry. Hello opportunity. Hello possibilities. Hello freedom.
